SHROPSHIRE
Shropshire is located in the north west of the midlands between Wales and Staffordshire and is mainly rural in character. The primary towns are Shrewsbury located in the centre, Ludlow and Craven Arms in the South, Oswestry in the west, Bridgnorth and Telford to the east and Market Drayton and Whitchurch to the north. The landscape of the area is varied from rolling hills in the east to more challenging terrain towards the Welsh borders.

From a riding perspective Shropshire is one of the best counties for the provision of public bridleways, whether its riding a short circuit around Clee Hill or using the long distance Jack Mytton Way trail, the opportunities are endless.

The area is well served by a network of roads and motorways, allowing easy access to most areas within the county.

We suggest that to get the most out of the area, you purchase the following Ordnance Survey Explorer maps: 203, 217, 218, 240, 241, 242, and 243 to use in conjunction with our routes.
